Frequently Asked Questions
What’s an Ergamoca?
“Ergamoca” is a word I created years ago using the first two letters of my children’s names: Erin, Gage, Morgan, and Cash. I originally used it as my personal Instagram name, and when I started creating artwork, it naturally became the name of the business as well.

How long have you been making these pieces?
I’ve been creating these pieces since 2020. It started during the COVID shutdown when I found myself with extra time and began experimenting with resin and glass. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a full art studio.

What materials do you use?
My work combines high-quality resin with a wide variety of glass materials, including sea glass, upcycled stained glass, and upcycled blown glass. I also create glass rings by slicing bottles and incorporate many other found and purchased objects to add texture, color, and dimension to each piece.

What are the circles in your artwork?
Many of my pieces include circular elements made from glass rings that I cut from bottles. These circles add structure, movement, and light reflection to the artwork and have become a recognizable part of my style.

Do you need old jewelry, bottles, or dishes?
Yes — I gladly accept donations of materials that can be incorporated into my artwork. I frequently use old costume jewelry, colorful bottles and vases, stained glass remnants, and vintage clear glass dish pieces in my designs.
These items help give new life to materials that might otherwise be discarded, and they often become beautiful elements within the finished pieces.
Please note that I typically do not use large plates or large bowls, but many other glass items and decorative pieces can be wonderful additions to future artwork.
If you have items you think might be useful, feel free to reach out.

Custom Artwork
Do you make custom pieces?
Yes, I do create custom artwork. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to make many fun, meaningful, and sentimental pieces for people.
Custom pieces can incorporate a wide variety of personal items and memories, including:
-
Family jewelry
-
Sand and shells collected from meaningful beach trips
-
Photography
-
Handwritten notes or letters
-
Pet memorial items such as hair or ashes
If you have an idea for a special piece, feel free to reach out and we can discuss what might be possible.
Art Classes
Do you teach art classes?
Yes. I regularly teach resin and glass art classes at my studio in White, Georgia.
Classes are generally available Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM, as well as most Saturdays when I am not traveling to an art show. In these classes, participants create their own piece while learning the techniques and materials used in Ergamoca artwork.
Can you host a class at my house?
Yes. Private classes at your home are available with a minimum of eight paid participants.
For these events, I bring a cross-section of the same materials used in the studio so participants receive a similar experience to the studio class. Because the process uses resin epoxy, we would need to discuss a few details ahead of time to ensure your home has a suitable space where that material can be used comfortably and safely.
Do I need any experience to take a class?
No experience is required. Classes are designed for beginners as well as people who enjoy being creative. I guide participants through the process step-by-step so everyone can create a beautiful finished piece.
How long do the classes take?
Most classes last a few hours, depending on the type and size of the project being created.
Shows & Events

Where can I find your upcoming show schedule?
My upcoming show schedule is listed on the Shows page of this website and is also shared on my social media pages. I update the schedule as new shows are officially accepted and confirmed, so it’s a good place to check for the most current information about where you can see my work in person.

Materials & Care
How do I care for my piece?
Your piece can be cleaned as needed. I recommend spraying the surface with something like Dawn or Windex, then gently patting the surface with a cloth or sponge to create a light lather. After that, quickly rinse the piece under running water.
Be sure to dry the piece thoroughly, especially the painted frame. You can place the piece face down on a towel so any remaining water can drip out from the detailed areas while the frame continues to dry.

Will my piece yellow over time?
While I cannot guarantee that a piece will never yellow, I carefully research and use high-quality epoxy that is specifically designed to remain clear, even with years of exposure to sunlight.
For example, I have a piece in my own living room that has remained crystal clear for six years so far. If you ever purchase a piece from me and it yellows sooner than you feel it reasonably should have, please reach out to me. I would be happy to replace or rebuild the piece so you feel satisfied with your purchase.

Can these pieces be used outdoors?
Yes, pieces can be displayed outdoors under a covered area, such as a porch or patio.
However, I do not recommend exposing them directly to rain or the elements, and they should not be left outside during very cold temperatures.
