The Full Story

Hi, I’m Jenny, the artist and owner of Ergamoca Art.

I’ve always been “artsy fartsy” and endlessly creative — the kind of person who’s always looking for the next big, challenging project. Whether it’s a huge home project or a completely all-consuming new art idea, I love diving in and figuring things out as I go.

Ergamoca Art began in 2020 during a season when the world slowed down and many of us found ourselves spending more time at home. My very first project started with old dishes in a window, which I covered with epoxy resin after watching my daughter use it in her own art projects. I immediately fell in love with the way the epoxy smoothed over the glass baubles and chipped glass pieces. I was hooked.

From there, I taught myself how to cut glass and began expanding both my projects and the materials I used. About nine months later, a friend invited me to sell my work at a festival she was hosting. My pieces were wildly popular — and that’s when I realized something important: people didn’t just love the finished art, they were fascinated by the process.

After years of customers encouraging me to teach, I finally decided to begin offering classes in 2026.

Today, I participate in up to 25 art shows and festivals each year across Georgia, East Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina — and I also host hands-on glass art classes where students of all skill levels can come relax, have fun, and create something truly beautiful.

You don’t need to be “artistic” to take one of my classes. I walk you through every step, and you’ll leave with a finished piece you’ll be proud to display or give as a gift. My classes are designed to be fun, welcoming, and stress-free — perfect for a girls’ night out, date night, team-building, or just trying something new.

I grew up in the mountains of East Tennessee near Knoxville and have called Georgia home since 1993.

On a personal note, Kevin and I met in 2013, spent the next 12 years raising our six children, and officially tied the knot in July 2025. We’re proud grandparents to one grandchild and live in White, Georgia.

My husband and I also own Dearing Designs, a multifaceted home remodeling company specializing in decks and custom interior woodworking — so creativity and building things by hand are truly a family affair.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me happily organizing my home, enjoying long, meaningful conversations in the hot tub with my husband or adult children, or soaking up sunshine at the beach.

If you’ve ever wanted to try glass art but thought, “I’m not creative enough,” my classes are for you. I’d love to create with you.
